Get Songwriter Buddy on your computer
Songwriter Buddy also runs right in your desktop browser — no download required to get started.
- Install from the browser (recommended) — Open songwriterbuddy.com in your browser, then click the install icon in the address bar (or use the install button in the header). The app opens in its own window and works offline after your first visit.
- Mac (Safari) — Open the site, then Share → Add to Dock for a shortcut on your Mac.
No account needed to use the app locally. Sign in from the Account page when you want your library on multiple devices.
Tips
- Tap a song to see the full song view: lyrics, chords, metronome, and recordings.
- In the song view, tap Edit to update lyrics, chords, key, and tempo.
- Adjusting the metronome BPM updates the song's tempo automatically.
- Tap a recording's name to rename it. Use Download to export a take to your file system.
